Warranty Information
If the exterior wood doors
are prepped, stained, and hung appropriately, then there have been a very few numbers
of cases where there have been defects in the door. We must remember that wood
is a natural resource, and it does in fact change its shape, size, and color
depending on the climate.
If the wood door is not stained
correctly and finished in a way which complies with the instructions of A1
Doors Inc, then A1 Doors Inc has the right to not cover the cost of replacing
or repairing the door:
a. Natural variations in the color
or texture of the wood are not to be considered as defects.
b. Doors that are improperly hung
or do not swing freely are not covered by A1 Doors Inc
c. This warranty does not cover
doors with damage caused by others or by any cause beyond the control of A1
Doors Inc, including but not limited to damage caused by misuse, abuse,
accident or mishandling or by fire, flood, earthquake, storm, tornado, or other
acts of nature; claims for shipping damage or loss by freight lines must be
filed with carrier.
d. Panel shrinkage is not
considered a defect covered by this warranty.
e. Knotty Alder doors for
exterior use not having open voids filled on exterior face.
f. Failure to perform normal homeowner
maintenance.
g. Attempts other than by A1
Doors Inc to repair the door.
h. During the manufacturing
process of stain or select grade fir doors we may expose pitch pockets or resin
galls. These areas will be required to be filled with net wood inlays which are
acceptable under Canadian Standards and will not be considered as a defect.
i. All wood carvings are carved
individually by hand by the artist and may vary. Therefore, slight variations
in design will not be considered a defect.
